PC Cheer Building Ribbon Cutting: October 12, 2022
Help us celebrate with our Putnam County Midget Cheerleading team, the ribbon cutting of our PC Cheer building!
Our competition cheerleaders put in extensive hours of practice, conditioning, and training to compete at the level they do and have earned many state titles. What you might not know is that they are here early in the morning or later in the evening, and countless hours in the summer to work around the availability of practice space so in-season sports teams can use the high school and elementary gym for practice.
Dr. Halley is always looking for ways to improve our district and after having a conversation with Varsity Cheerleading Coach, Lisa Stobbe, it became obvious that having more practice space for our student-athletes would be a great addition.
After having a conversation with Mr. Harlan, our Building Trades instructor, a long-awaited dream started to take shape for our cheer program as our building trades students began work on the building. Many months and hours of work have passed and today we celebrated with a ribbon cutting. Our varsity cheerleaders had their first practice yesterday and are so grateful for their own dedicated space to practice.
Thank you so much to all who helped make this dream a reality! We appreciate all your work on this project! Our cheer team has a legacy of hard work, dedication, and success and we look forward to many more generations developing the character and grit it takes to become a champion in this new space!
