Gage Pearson Signs Letter of Intent
Senior Gage Pearson signed his National Letter of Intent to play baseball at Southeastern Community College on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Gage has been a standout performer on the baseball field since joining the team as a Freshman.
Last year as a Junior, Gage helped the Midgets to their best finish in program history. The Midgets finished the year with a 20-3 record and a 3rd place finish in the Class 2 Missouri state playoffs.
Gage had a tremendous year both on the mound and at the plate for the Midgets. Gage posted a dominant 10-1 record on the mound last year finishing with a 2.34 ERA across 56.2 innings pitched. He struck out 118 batters and only issued 15 walks on the season. Offensively, Gage led the team in multiple categories including; average, slugging, on-base percentage, singles, doubles, triples, and RBI’s. Gage was able to finish the year with an incredible .574 batting average. During the season campaign Gage racked up 35 RBI’s, on 5 homers, 3 triples, 11 doubles, and 20 singles.
Gage was honored with many postseason awards following last year's impressive season including; 1st Team All-State Pitcher, Kirksville Daily Express Player of the Year, 1st Team All-District, and 1st Team All-Conference.
