Claire Tipton Signs National Letter of Intent to Indian Hills Community College Softball Team
Congratulations to Senior Softball player, Miss Claire Tipton! Claire signed her National Letter of Intent to play softball for Indian Hills Community College today. The high school library at Putnam County R-I Schools was full of family, friends, teammates, and coaches as Claire put pen to contract to continue her softball career after graduation.
Claire's love of the game began when she was just a little girl in pigtails. Throughout the years, Claire has worked diligently on her game, more specifically, pitching. She has traveled countless miles and put in more hours than you could count working on her game.
This year (33 games), Claire had a .529 batting average, 282 strikeouts, .610 OBP (on-base percentage), 54 hits, 7 home runs, 41 RBI's, 46 runs, 22 stolen bases.
During her varsity career (99 games), Claire had 142 hits, 441 k's, 19 home runs, 104 RBIs, 49 stolen bases, and 97 runs.
Claire has a .458 career average.
